Postdoctoral Associate in Jewish Thought 2022-2024
The Program in Judaic Studies at Yale University is offering a two-year Postdoctoral fellowship that will begin on July 1, 2022. Candidates for the fellowship must have a Ph.D. in hand by July 1, 2022 and must have received the degree no earlier than 2019. The Program seeks a specialist in Jewish Thought who will work closely with appropriate members of Yale’s faculty.
The Judaic Studies Postdoctoral Associate will be expected to be in residence, to conduct research in Yale’s library and archival collections, to participate actively in the intellectual life of the university, teach two courses, one per year with the expectation to teach one course in Judaic Studies and one course in Yale’s Directed Studies program an introduction to some of the seminal texts of Western Cultures for select first year students; with the option of substituting the organization of a conference, seminar, or colloquium for the second year’s course.
